Kacper Biel
Mental Health Counseling Intern
Kacper Biel is a Mental Health Counseling Intern and graduate student at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. At House of Wellness Mental Health Counseling, PLLC, he provides online therapy to youth, young adults, college students, and adults across New York. He is especially interested in supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), life transitions, relationship concerns, and stressful experiences, as well as individuals from immigrant and first-generation communities.
He strives to bring a warm, collaborative, holistic, and structured style to therapy. He recognizes that beginning therapy can feel unfamiliar or intimidating, particularly for people from families or communities where mental health concerns are not widely discussed or understood. He also understands that challenges often come from several directions at once and helps clients explore how their emotions, relationships, responsibilities, and surrounding circumstances interact. His goal is to create a nonjudgmental space where clients can move at their own pace and work toward meaningful, realistic goals. He uses an integrative, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approach informed by CBT, ACT, mindfulness, psychodynamic theory, and ERP for OCD.
As a first-generation Polish American, Kacper is bilingual in English and Polish. Growing up in an immigrant family has shaped his appreciation for the influence of culture, identity, family expectations, and intergenerational experiences on emotional well-being. His background includes community-based service and supporting students across elementary school and college settings.
Kacper practices under the supervision of Tuba Habib, LMHC-D, NCC, CASAC-T.
